12th Fail Prequel Zero se Shuruwat Announced By Vidhu Vinod Chopra At IIFA Awards 2024

IIFA 2024: Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra announced the prequel of Vikrant Massey’s ‘12th Fail’ at the IIFA 2024 awards ceremony. The film will be titled ‘Zero Se Shuruwat’ slated to release in theaters on 13 December. 

Vidhu Vinod Chopra Announced 12th Fail Prequel 

Helmed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, ‘12th Fail’ is on the list of the International Indian Film Academy Awards 2024. He bagged the ‘Best Director’ for his biographical drama. The film was released on 27 October 2023 to good reviews with the increasing interest of the audience in the inspirational success story of Manoj Kumar Sharma, the protagonist essayed by Massey. 

Talking about his big win at the IIFA 2024 he remarked that he does not measure his success with the validation that comes from outside. Rather he needs to feel if his movie has made him feel like “he nailed it” or “it did not work out”. He said, “For me, the success that comes from outside means very little. For me the most critical thing is after I've made the movie, am I feeling successful?.” 

It was after his victory he was also elated to share about his next film ‘Zero Se Shuruwat’ which will be a prequel to ‘12th Fail’ with the same cast

With the Oscars in the pipeline, reporters were also curious if he would send his film for the Academy Awards 2025 to which he said “ He said, “I am not an award fellow. I'm here at IIFA because of my wife, Anupama. I'm actually just accompanying her today. For me, the most important thing—the real award—is when you make a film and, after watching it, you can either say, 'Ah, I nailed it,' or admit, 'That didn't quite work.”
