The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 2022 is one of the bestsellers of the automobile company. The MPV has been a popular choice for customers, selling more than 7,50,000 units and for its facelift, it receives updates to the exterior, interior and engine including CNG and Tour variants for commercial operators. On the outside, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets a new grille while a majority of the older set of features is carried over. These include projector headlamps, fog lights, multi-spoke alloy wheels, vertically mounted LED tail lights, and an integrated spoiler. Two new colours have also been added to the options, with Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown totalling the number of colours to six. Other visual elements remain unchanged for 2022.
Interior highlights of the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga include a seven-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, engine start-stop button, height-adjustable driver seat, and Suzuki Connect telematics. The 7-inch display comes with a new SmartPlay Pro infotainment system that comes with customisation options, smartphone connectivity, and voice command features with Amazon Alexa.
In its 2022 avatar, the Ertiga still carries three rows, with a one-touch slide and recline for easy access to the third row. Features include roof-mounted aircon vents for 2nd and 3rd row, cruise control, auto-headlamps with follow-me-home feature, electrically operated ORVMs, power sockets in each row and many more.
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre, DualJet, Dual VVT petrol engine that is paired to a five-speed manual unit and a new six-speed torque converter automatic unit. The latter also gets paddle shifters. Also on offer is a CNG version. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is available in four variants including LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The CNG version is offered in the VXi and ZXi variants.
Maruti has equipped the MPV with an updated 1.5-litre DualJet petrol engine with mild hybrid tech. The updated powertrain now makes 103PS and 136.8Nm. The MPV also gets a CNG kit which gives a reduced output of 88PS and 121.5Nm when driven solely on the cleaner fuel. The claimed fuel efficiencies for the petrol-manual and petrol-automatic are 20.51km/l and 20.3km/l respectively, while the CNG option returns 26.11km/kg.
The facelifted MPV is priced from Rs 8.35 lakh to Rs 12.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
