Air India Flight: In the wake of the fatal crash of Air India flight AI171, a Boeing aircraft, the National carrier, Air India, has cancelled 66 flights operated by its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft due to operational disruptions, safety checks, and regulatory scrutiny since 12 June.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said such flights were cancelled by the airline.
DGCA has also mandated enhanced safety checks on every Dreamliner in Air India's fleet, significantly prolonging inspection times.
