Aadi Mahotsav 2020: Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda has launched the virtual version of Aadi Mahotsav-Madhya Pradesh. The 10-day festival is being hosted on Tribes India website. The main emphasis of Aadi Mahotsav is on tribal crafts and culture of Madhya Pradesh. On this occasion, Arjun Munda said that the virtual version of 'Aadi Mahotsav-Madhya Pradesh' is an effort to help the life and livelihood of tribals. He said that despite the Corona pandemic, TRIFED has organized this annual tribal festival, which celebrates the soul and prosperity of tribal culture in virtual form, with their efforts towards connecting tribes with big markets. The year has also continued. 

Aadi Mahotsav Main Points

It is a national tribal festival and a joint initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the Indian Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Association (TRIFED). It was started in the year 2017 and since then it is organized every year.

The purpose of this festival is to make the common people familiar with the rich and varied crafts and culture of the tribal communities at one place.

In the year 2019, the festival was organized in New Delhi and arranged for exhibition and sale of tribal handicrafts, art, paintings, clothes, jewelry etc.
