Upcoming Bollywood Sequel Films 2025: The success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again made it evident that audiences like to enjoy the charm of nostalgia, cult, and frenzy of an original extended into its film franchise. The trend of making money on the credibility of the original story’s popularity will continue in 2025 as well with more than one of Bollywood cult classics returning on screen with a sequel story after decades. 

Aitraaz 2 

At the occasion of 20 years anniversary, ‘Aitraaz’, film director Subhash Gha revealed that a sequel to the 2004 film is in the pipeline with Oh My God 2 director Amit Rai on board as the story writer. The original starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Akshay Kumar, and Kareen Kapoor Khan has earned much acclaim for its bold story, and performance. 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is to date applauded for her courage to pull off a negative character with such vivacity. She won the Filmfare award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Villainous Role for ‘Aitraaz’ in 2005.

Jolly LLB 3 

Arshad Warsi and Akshay Kumar left an amusing impression on audiences with the Jolly LLB film franchise. Jolly LLB 3 will be a black comedy directed by Subhash Kapoor with the cast of the previous 2 films collaborating for this one. The film will star Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, and Saurabh Shukla and released on 10 April 2025. 

Son of Sardaar 2

Ajay Devgn will reprise the role of his much loved “Sardaar” role along with Sanjay Dutt. Munal Thakur will join the cast of the sequel helmed by Vijay Kumar Arora. The film will be released in 2025. 

Housefull 5 

Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Houseful 5 is slated for release on 6 June 2025 with a star cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangda Singh, Soundarya Sharma, Dino Morea, Shreyas Talpade, Nikitin Dheer, Johny Lever, Chunky Panday, Ranjeet, and Akashdeep Sabir.
