America Tariff Updates: Donald Trump’s tariff card has been in the headlines for several days. During the inaugural speech in Parliament, Trump announced the imposition of reciprocal tariffs on April 2. Targeting India, Trump claims that because India slaps 100% tariffs on the US, America would also impose the same tariffs on them. However, in response to Trump's conditions, India is considering lowering tariffs on American imports.

Trump Tariff Affects on India

If America imposes a reciprocal tax on India, Indian items sold in America will become more expensive, and Americans will prefer ‘Made in America’ products. In such a case, Indian companies may face significant losses. As a result, the rupee is projected to fall in value.  According to sources, this might cost India $7 billion (Rs 61 thousand crores).
