Travel News: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) stated that the year 2023 was the safest year to travel via flight even after a massive increase in passenger flights. Only one fatal accident occurred in the entire year, the domestic flight of Nepal’s Yeti Airlines, in which 72 people lost their lives. The investigation disclosed that the high workload and stress on the flight deck were responsible for the deadly plane crash.
In 2022, 42 accidents, including five labeled accidents, caused a total of 158 passengers to lose their lives, according to the IATA report. In addition, there were a total of 29 accidents with no serious injury reported by any passenger.
