Blinkit Gig Workers Go On A Strike In Varanasi; Demands Better Pay, Cotton Uniforms

Blinkit Workers Strike:  Blinkit gig workers have gone on a two-day strike in Varanasi, wearing their bright yellow Blinkit uniform challenging the quick-delivery platform of Zomato to bring in fair working conditions for their delivery people and gig workers. 

The company, in response, has blocked the IDs of the 150 people in the strike, asking them to sign an agreement before getting their IDs back. 

The workers are demanding necessary amenities for their job, including an increase in minimum wage, cotton uniforms in the scorching heat of the country, a shaded waiting area, and drinking water for them.
