What is Bridgerton? 

Dear readers, the genus of Bridgerton is well-acknowledged and yet for the unawares, Bridegerton, the Netflix series helmed by Chris Van Dueson and produced by Shonda Rhimes, is based on an eight-book series of the same name by author Julia Quinn. The Brigerton family of widowed matrich and her eight children are whom the plot revolves around with each series/book bringing each one of them and their romantic interest at the center. 

Bridgerton Season 3: Part 1

The first season, like the first book, narrowed on Daphne and Simon’s love story, followed by the most loved Anthony and Kate based on Book Two. Season three part one, however, swerves away from following the book chronology by bringing the lens on Penelope aka Lady  Whistledown, and Colin. The book series rails to their story only in book four ‘Romancing Mister Bridgerton’. 

Why the deviation?

The cast and crew of the series reasoned their deviation from the book chronology in their interviews. Penelope and Colin have been part of the story since the first season with ample investment done in the characters from the audience. With the knowledge of the two characters, their personalities and questions with each other it only made sense that the kindled anticipation for their story was fanned. 

What’s Next in Bridgerton S3: P1?

As mentioned, Bridgerton Season 3: Part 1 centers around brewing romance and hidden secrets between friends, Penelope- the youngest daughter of Featherington aka elusive Lady Whistledown essayed by Nicola Coughlan, and Colin, the third oldest Bridgerton.  

The last season left us on the hook with Eloise, Penelope’s friends knowing the truth about her dual life as Lady Whistledown and Penelope overhearing her good friend Colin contemplating as someone he would never like. 

What’s hot this season is also the familial bliss of Kanthony post their marriage as the fans will get a view into their marital ecstasy as husband and wife. It is also believed that Kate may take up a Viscountess.
