Business News: Reliance Industries enters the Top 4 Companies after KKR’s Big Investment

Reliance Industries Shares:  KKR, a global investment group, would invest Rs 2,069.50 crore in Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd for a 0.25% interest valued at Rs 8.36 lakh crore. KKR’s interest in Reliance Retail Ventures will rise from 1.17% to 1.42% as a result of this transaction. According to the joint announcement issued by both corporations, this investment was done at a valuation of Rs 8.36 lakh crore, or around 100.87 billion dollars. Reliance Retail has now reached the top four corporations in the country as a result of this investment and valuation. 

 

KKR Announces Investment in RIL

Qatar Investment Authorities (QIA) invested Rs 8,278 crore in Reliance Retail last week for a 1% stake. This investment was made at a valuation of Rs 8.278 lakh crore, or over $100 billion, raising Reliance Retail's valuation by more than Rs 8,000 crore in only one week. Reliance Retail previously received Rs 47,265 crore from investors in 2020, at a valuation of around Rs 4.2 lakh crore. During this time, the corporation sold 10.09 percent of its stock. This was the largest round of money ever raised by a retail enterprise.
