Canada Election Results: Mark Carney’s Liberals Win, Falling Short Of Majority; What Next?

Canada Election Results:  Canada’s Liberal Party, led by Mark Carney, has won a fourth successive mandate in the country’s election. The party has enough seats to form a government but not to make up a majority in the assembly, as they fall three seats short of the 172 needed. 

Carney’s relative newness poses a challenge to the upcoming reign of the party that has vowed to stand up to the US, which Carney accused of trying to break Canada. He replaced Justin Trudeau as the leader of the Liberals just two months ago. 

However, the lack of a majority in seats means that now the Liberals will need the support from their rivals at every turning point.
