China on Rafale: According to a French intelligence report, China is disseminating misinformation in various countries to discredit the Rafale fighter jet. According to the French Defence Ministry and intelligence officers, China used its embassies and social media platforms to call Rafale’s legitimacy into question. This included fake videos, edited photos, and AI-generated content.

China Questions Credibility of Rafale

According to French intelligence reports, China initiated this operation to influence the sale of the Rafale. Its purpose was to persuade the countries that had already ordered Rafale jets. This campaign began following the air confrontation between India and Pakistan, in which Pakistan claimed to have shot down five Indian Air Force planes, including three Rafales, with its Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets and PL-15 missiles.
