Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt wins the Filmfare Award

For her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor (Female).Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, which also took home the top prizes of the evening for Best Film and Best Director, included Alia Bhatt in the role of a sex worker. 
 

Scientist and orator N Gopalakrishnan  passes away 

Dr. N. Gopalakrishnan, a well-known speaker and retired scientist from Tripunithura, died on Thursday at the age of 68. While out and about at home, he passed out. He was taken to the hospital, but he could not be saved. Before becoming the head of the Central Building Research Institute (CBRI), N Gopalakrishnan worked as a scientist at the Advanced Seismic Testing and Research Laboratory (ASTaR) of the CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre. Audiences from within and outside of the country attended Gopalakrishnan's lectures on Indian philosophy and Vedantic discourses.
