Delhi News: Students in Delhi will be able to apply for lateral entrance into classes 6 through 8 at the government’s flagship CM SHRI Schools via a standardised admission test. The Directorate of Education (DoE) has issued a circular stating that Delhi-based students enrolled in a recognised school are eligible to apply.
The guidelines stated that at least 50% of the available seats will be reserved for students currently enrolled in Delhi government or government-aided schools, including those run by the Directorate of Education (DoE), MCD, NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. In accordance with government policy, students from the SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and Children With Special Needs (CWSN) categories would get a 5% reduction in eligibility marks. The online application window will be open from July 30 to August 15, with admit cards available from August 23. The test is scheduled for August 30 between 11 am and 1.30 pm.
