Delhi News: Major Update on DTC Free Bus Service For Women, CM Rekha Gupta Announces Saheli Smart Card

Delhi News: Since the Kejriwal government, the women of Delhi have been getting the benefit of travelling in DTC buses for free. Giving a major update on the same, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced the mandate of the ‘Saheli Smart Card’ for women who wish to travel in DTC and cluster buses for free. This smart card will include the holder’s name and photo. This card will replace the free pink ticket.

Saheli Smart Card Details

According to a Delhi government directive, girls over the age of 12, women, and transgender people living in Delhi would be entitled to travel for free on DTC and cluster buses using the ‘Saheli Smart Card’. This will be a digital card issued using the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) system. To avail the benefits of the ‘Saheli Smart Card’, women must first register online at the DTC portal.
