Dhurandhar Movie Cast: On his 40th birthday, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh unveiled the much-anticipated promo of his upcoming movie ‘Dhurandhar’, with a menacing, bold, and rugged look. Directed by ‘Uri’ director Aditya Dhar, the first look shared glimpses of Ranveer killing enemies and fighting in his rough and tough avatar, which promises a new experience for fans. The promo also featured Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna. Other than that, one thing that made fans curious was the female lead who will be pairing up opposite Ranveer Singh in the movie. 

The actress is none other than Sara Arjun, the Indian child actor who is famous for his roles in several Tamil and Hindi movies. With Dhurandhar, Sara has made a big comeback on screens as the main lead, sharing the screen with Ranveer Singh and other well-known actors.

Early Life

Sara Arjun, born in 2005, is the daughter of Raj Arjun, an actor known for his roles in films and web series such as Article 370, Love Hostel, Thalaivi, and Shershaah. Suhaan, Sara’s younger brother, made his acting debut in the short film Dinner (2016).

Sara Arjun Career

Sara Arjun was one and a half years old when she shot her first commercial after being discovered at a mall with her parents, and she has since been in over a hundred advertisements for brands such as McDonald’s. Arjun shot a commercial for director Vijay when she was two years old, but he lost contact with Arjun’s family until seeing them and casting Sara in his drama film, Deiva Thirumagal, on a visit to Mumbai. Upon its debut, the picture was a critical and economic triumph, with film critics uniformly praising Sara’s performance as Nila.

Sara then appeared in Kannan Iyer’s supernatural Hindi thriller Ek Thi Daayan (2013), which was produced by Ekta Kapoor. She played Misha, Emraan Hashmi’s younger sister. The film received positive reviews but did not do well commercially. She later played the major part in R. Sundarrajan's Chithirayil Nilachoru.  Sara also worked on Vijay’s Saivam, a family drama in which she played the lead character, a young girl named Thamizhselvi.

Became India’s Highest Paid Child Actor After PS-I

In 2022, she won one of her most important parts in Mani Ratnam’s historical drama Ponniyin Selvan, playing the younger version of Nandini, who is played by Aishwarya Rai. According to media sources, Sara Arjun’s estimated net worth after the film’s popularity reached Rs 10 crore, making her the highest-paid child performer in the country at the time.

As soon as fans spotted Sara opposite Ranveer Singh, the huge age gap between them sparked controversies on social media, claiming Ranveer looked like Sara’s “Uncle” in the movie. Although the film’s plot and character specifics are unknown, several social media fans expressed hope that Sara Arjun and Ranveer Singh are not cast as romantic leads.
