Diabetes Care: Diabetes has become a major health concern in India, owing to changing lifestyles and dietary patterns. According to a survey published in The Lancet, roughly 101 million people in India would be diagnosed with diabetes by 2021, with another 136 million suffering from prediabetes. Managing blood sugar levels is important for people with either illness, but many patients struggle to give up daily habits like drinking tea. Health professionals warn that continuing to drink ordinary tea may impede efforts to adequately control blood glucose levels. In answer to this issue, Delhi-based Gut and Hormone Health Coach Manpreet Kalra revealed a unique tea recipe that not only benefits diabetics but also promotes better blood sugar control and overall well-being.
This tea, known as the “7-Ingredient Diabetes Reversal Tea,” contains one-quarter teaspoon of fenugreek seeds, a dash of cinnamon and black pepper, one teaspoon of coriander seeds, half an inch of grated ginger, and one-fourth teaspoon of jamun seed powder. To prepare, boil all of the ingredients in a glass of water until it is reduced by half and changes color, then filter and drink lukewarm. The tea contains antioxidants and fiber, which help regulate blood glucose levels and enhance insulin sensitivity due to the presence of piperine in black pepper. Furthermore, it boosts energy, reduces stress, and may aid with anxiety and depression. Individuals with various medical concerns should contact their doctor before introducing this tea into their daily routine.
