From Netflix to Prime Video, OTT platforms are ready with new shows ranging in cast and genre to keep their audience satiated and entertained. Take a look at the list of shows releasing on 9th May on OTT this Friday. 

Gram Chikitsalay on Prime Video 

After the success of Panchayat, Prime Video brings another story rooted in rural India portraying the life and challenges of people living in the villages of the country. 

Grama Chikitsalay is a story about an urban doctor getting stationed in a remote village of Bhathkandi, where he is tasked with the job to revive an almost non-functional primary health care center. Navigating his shift from the fast paced urban landscape to the rural, his life changes as he gets to see the people of his country like he has never seen before. The series stars Amol Parashar, Vinay Pathak, Akash Makhija, and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor. 

Nonnas on Netflix 

A show that will make you hug or miss your grandmothers a little too much, Nonnas on Netflix is based on the real life eatery on Staten Island called Enoteca Maria, known to only hire grammys as their staff members. 

The Netflix series is about a grieving man reeling from the loss of his mother and grandmother. He finds solace in an Italian restaurant which serves food prepared only by the grandmothers called Nonnas. 

The Royals on Netflix 

With a dazzling cast ensemble of Ishaan Khatter, Bhumi Pednekar, Sakshi Tanwar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Dino Morea, and Milind Soman, the Royals is a competitive love story between a prince and a feisty startup queen as the two opposites attract each other to fall in love that will defy norms and break rules. With a blend of romance, laughter, and heartbreak, The Royals is the most anticipated show in the lineup today. 

The Diplomat on Netflix 

John Abraham’s critically acclaimed political thriller, The Diplomat, is a story about an Indian diplomat, J.P. Singh, as he must come to the aid of an Indian woman who has been deceitfully married off in Pakistan to an abusive man. As she turns to the Indian embassy to help her return home, Officer Singh needs to navigate the murky waters of international relations.
