Grammys 2024: The global celebration celebrating the musical marvels from around the world concluded with winners etching history and women ruling the event with their talents and geniuses. The Grammys, presented by the Recording Academy of the United States honored versatile and diverse artists for their outstanding performance in the music industry. 

The awards were hosted by Trevor Noah for the fourth time consecutively at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena. 

Take a look at which of your favorite artists bagged awards and dominated the nominations on the world stage. 

The Grammys 2024 winners  

Taylor Swift became the first person with four consecutive wins for the Album of the Year for ‘Midnights’. She was also the victor in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. Miley Cyrus on the other end held her first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Flowers’, marked by a second big win for Record of the Year. 

Among the other categories and winners, there was Billish Eilish, the winner of Song of the Year for ‘What Was I Made For?’, Victoria Monet won Best New Artist, while SZA had a whopping nine nominations she won Best R&B Song for ‘Snooze’, Best Pop Duo for ‘Ghost in the Machine’ with Pheobe Bridgers, Best R&B Performance for ‘Kill Bill’, and Best Melodic Rap Performance for ‘Low’; Killer Mike ft. André 3000, Future, and Eryn Allen Kane’s ‘Scientists & Engineers’ bagged a Grammy for both Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Killer Mike also won Best Album for ‘Michael’, with ‘Bell Bottom Country’ by Lainey Wilson winning Best Country Album.  

India shone with Zakir Hussain’s ‘The Moment’

‘Shakti’, the fusion band by Zakir Hussain and Shankar Mahadevan won big for Best Global Music Album for their latest album ‘This Moment’. The award was a prestigious honor for the country recognizing its artists with a global alocade.  

Zakir Hussain moreover won the other categories of Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Best Instrumental Composition Best Global Performance for his part in ‘Pashto’.

The pre-show of the awards will be available to stream on live.Grammy.com while the award show will be streaming on Paramout+ live. 

For the audience in India, the award show could be streamed on Grammy.com or the official YouTube channel of the Recording Academy.
