World News: In the ceasefire talks at Cairo between Israel and Hamas, nothing conclusive has yielded yet. Hamas walked away from the Egyptian city marking their rejection of Israel’s terms and conditions looming a shadow of doubt over theUnited States-backed effort of ending the 10-month old war.
The Hamas delegation leaving Cairo rejected the terms proposed by Israel. Hamas demanded that Israel’s terms “be bound by what was agreed upon on July 2, based on what was stated in Biden’s speech and the Security Council resolution,” furthermore Izzat al-Rishq, a member of the Hamas political bureau shed light on their terms which included a permanent ceasefire, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, return of the displaced residents and substantial aid for the reconstruction of the destroyed area.
