Himachal Pradesh Cloudburst: Flash Floods Hit Mandi; Roads Shut, IMD Issues Heavy Rain Alert

Himachal Pradesh Weather:  Himachal Pradesh is bearing the brunt of the destructive monsoon this year. Mandi has been hit the worst with immense damage caused in the district. A cloudburst hit Mandi on Monday, resulting in 358 roads across the state, including the Chandigarh-Manali Highway, being closed.

The India Meteorological Department has warned of severe rainfall across the state, with a warning of flash floods, especially in rivers and drains. Mandi district alone has recorded its highest rainfall in 39 years. Cloudburst warnings have also been issued for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Manali, Sirmaur, and Shimla.
