Himachal Weather: IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall In Several Districts, Landslides Damage State Infrastructure

Himachal Weather: Monsoon is wreaking havoc in Himachal Pradesh with several districts facing the consequences of landslides. Relentless rainfall in Kangra, Chamba, and Kullu led to house collapses, damaging homes, cattle sheds, and kitchens on Monday. 

The government has estimated a loss of ₹1,753 crore and 173 rain-related deaths in Himachal Pradesh, with worst worst-affected districts like Banjar, Ani, Mandi, and Kullu.

The India Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the state on 5 August, with moderate rain expected until 10 August.
