Hollywood-Bollywood Collab: You may have heard many Indian celebrities making their debut internationally with Hollywood, including Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, and many more. However, many of us are unaware of Hollywood stars making their debut in Bollywood. Recently, if reports are to be believed, speculations are going on that Marvel actor Ma Dong-Seok aka Don LEE is all set to make his Telugu debut with Prabhas starrer ‘Spirit’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. While no official confirmation has been made by the makers, it is anticipated that Don LEE will be roped in as the antagonist in the cop film, sparking excitement among the fans due to his South Korea connection. 

Ma Dong-Seok is a celebrated South Korean actor who appeared in movies like Train to Busan, Marvel’s Eternals, The Roundup, and The Outlaws among others. Before Don LEE, many other international stars made a cameo in Indian movies, particularly in Bollywood. Let’s check out the names.

Sylvester Stallone

Best known for his roles in the ‘Rocky’ and ‘Rambo’ series, Sylvester Stallone made a notable appearance in Bollywood with the 2009 film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan. He had a cameo role, saving Kareena’s character from the goons, perfectly justifying his tough build. 

Christopher B. Duncan

Christopher B. Duncan, widely recognized for his work on television series such as ‘The Jamie Foxx Show’ and ‘The First Family’, appeared in the SRK starrer ‘My Name is Khan’ (2010). He portrayed President Barack Obama in this critically acclaimed film directed by Karan Johar with Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the lead. 

Sarah Thompson

Sarah Thompson is an American actress known for her roles in ‘Cruel Intentions 2’ and the TV series ‘7th Heaven’. She made her Bollywood debut with ‘Raajneeti’ (2010). Directed by Prakash Jha, the political drama featured Thompson as “Sarah,” the girlfriend of Ranbir Kapoor's character “Samar Pratap.” 

Toby Stephens

Toby Stephens, acclaimed for his work in ‘Die Another Day’ and ‘Black Sails,’ appeared in the Bollywood film ‘Mangal Pandey: The Rising’ (2005). He played Captain William Gordon in this historical epic directed by Ketan Mehta, which starred Aamir Khan as Mangal Pandey. 

Will Smith

The ‘Men in Black’ actor Will Smith is one of the most popular actors globally. Known for his roles in ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ and ‘I Am Legend’, Smith made a brief yet memorable cameo in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ (2019). Directed by Punit Malhotra, this film featured Smith in a dance sequence, along with Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday, and Tara Sutaria. 

Clive Standen

Best known for his roles in  ‘Vikings’ and ‘Taken,’ Standen appeared in the 2007 romance comedy ‘Namastey London’. He portrayed Charles Brown, a British suitor vying for the affection of Jasmeet (Katrina Kaif). Directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film starred Akshay Kumar and explored the cultural clash between India and the UK, with Standen’s character contributing significantly to the narrative’s exploration of identity and love.
