India Hits Back At NATO By Calling Out “Double Standards” On Oil Trades With Russia

India-US Ties:  Responding to the warning of NATO General Secretary Mark Rutte over 100% tariffs and sanctions on countries involved in oil trade with Russia, particularly India, China, and Brazil, New Delhi called out the US’s ‘double standards’ as the EU too gets its oil from Russia. 

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal spoke to the media in a briefing and said, “We have seen reports on the subject and are closely following the developments. Let me reiterate that securing the energy needs of our people are understandably an overriding priority for us.”
