Indigo creates history, Indigo-Airbus Deal | Jagran Business- Watch Video

InterGlobe Aviation, the largest private sector airlines operator named Indigo, is going to buy 500 new Airbus A320 family aircraft. This is the order for the largest number of aircraft delivered simultaneously by any Indian airlines. These aircraft are expected to be delivered between 2020 and 2035.

Indigo has placed an order for 500 new Airbus A320 aircraft. Indigo is the first airline in the world to deal with Airbus to buy such a large number of aircraft at once. This is the second case of ordering such number of aircraft from India this year. In the same year, Air India, owned by the Tata Group, had earlier announced a deal with Airbus and Boeing to buy 470 new aircraft.IndiGo's promoter and MD Rahul Bhatia, Indigo CEO Pieter Elbers and Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury signed the historic purchase agreement with Airbus for an order to buy 500 new A320 aircraft during the Paris Air Show 2023. Airbus said in its tweet that through this deal, it will help in promoting affordable air travel in India.
