Israel-India Relations: Israel Praises India’s Support, Signals Strategic Defence Partnership

Israel-India Relations: Israel continues to conduct extensive military operations in the Middle East, particularly in Gaza, with the goal of removing Hamas. Despite international concerns and the unwillingness of even large nations such as the United States to restrict it, Israel continues to pursue its plan, citing the terrible events of October 7 as justification. During the conflict, Israel has expressed gratitude to nations that have supported it during difficult times, most notably India, calling it a “special friend.”

Israeli Official Meets NSA Ajit Doval

In a recent statement, Israel’s Defence Ministry referred to India as a crucial strategic partner, citing development in bilateral defence and strategic cooperation. The statement came after Major General (Retd.) Amir Baram, Director General of Israel’s Defence Ministry, paid his first working visit to India on July 22 and 23. During the tour, Baram conducted high-level conversations with senior Indian officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, with a focus on improving bilateral defence cooperation and collaboration.
