New Delhi: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar resigned from his post on Monday evening, citing medical reasons as the cause of his decision. In his resignation letter to President Draupadi Murmu, he wrote, “To prioritise health care and abide by medical advice, I hereby resign as Vice President of India, effective immediately, by Article 67(a) of the Constitution.”
Rajya Sabha deputy chairman Harivansh is speculated to replace Dhankar as the new vice president of India.
