Jersey finally made it to the big screen. The much awaited remake of the Telugu based sports drama starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur has finally hit the screen on April 22, 2022. The film was earlier scheduled to release the same time as Yash KGF 2 however due to unforeseen circumstances it kept getting delayed. But, now our chocolate boy Shahid is back to the silver screen once again to cast his spell in a cricketer’s shoes while for Mrunal it will be the second biggest film after appearing with Hrithik roshan in Super 30.

Story of Jersey

Jersey is a Hindi remake of the Telugu blockbuster of the same name, starring Nani and telling the story of a cricketer attempting to return to the sport. Arjun, a talented but failed cricketer, decides to return to the sport in his late thirties in order to represent India and give his kid a jersey as a gift. Director Gowtam Tinnanuri wrote and directed the film, which is produced by Allu Aravind, Dil Raju, and Aman Gill. Mrunal Thakur plays the role of Shahid’s wife in the film who works hard to provide for the family.
