Karnataka Govt Considers Moving Chinnaswamy Stadium From Bengaluru CBD After Stampede

Bengaluru Stampede: The tragic victory celebration of RCB’s historic win raised concerns over crowd management practices and led to public outrage over misinformation in the aftermath of the Bengaluru stampede. 

In a recent development regarding the issue, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah expressed a possibility of relocating the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium from the central location of Bengaluru’s Central Business District (CBD).

Breaking his silence on the tragedy, he spoke to the media, alluding that the government is considering moving the stadium’s location with a thorough consultation with all the stakeholders.
