Podcaster Surbhee is in conversation with the infamous KRISHNA BEURAA. The super-hit songs "Maula Mere'' from Chak De India, "Main Jahan Rahoon" from Namaste London, "Mera Intakam Dekhegi," and many others have made Krishna Beuraa a household name in the world of singing.

In this conversation Krishna discussed the current scenerio of the Bollywood music industry and his own life's journey during.

He brought up details like why he took a sabbatical from the industry and who else had ridden his career into it.

Who is Krishna Beuraa?

Krishna Beuraa, an Indian playback singer, has recorded songs for commercial Hindi, multilingual regional films, and music albums. Krishna Beuraa and the renowned ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan have a highly distinctive and rarely heard style. Krishna acknowledges a fondness for Khan sahib's magnificent Sufi style.


Can sing in 22 different languages

Known for his vocal prowess on high notes and his ability to sing both harkats and alaaps, Krishna can sing in 22 different languages including his mother tongue Odia.


Krishna Beuraa family

Currently residing in Mumbai, Krishna Beuraa is originally from Kusupangi, Banki, Cuttack. His father  Indramani Beura was an employee of the Indian Air force while his mother Shushama Beura wanted him to pursue a career in the field of Medical or Engineering.


Krishna Beuraa early life

Mr. Beruaa during the interview shared how a morning prayer changed the life of class 1st student who intended to pursue his career in singing. While his seniors were absent Krishna took the charge to sing Vande Matram during the morning prayer and left the whole school mesmerized with his vocal talent. It was probably the first step towards his singing career.


After earning his degree in film and music from Punjab University, he received a job offer from Dubai and began working as a radio jockey. In the meantime, he continued to perform for hotels. He faced several challenges after returning to Mumbai and eventually decided to specialise in Sufi music.


Krishna Beuraa career

Krishna Beuraa's big break came when he approached Sanjay Dutt. Sanjay offered him the chance to perform in four films titled  Rudraksh- Ishq Khudai, Rakht- Sach Hai Sach Hai Yeh, Musafir Rabba and Deewaar- Ali Ali.

After then, Bollywood saw the official beginning of his singing career. He has since performed a number of popular songs, including Inteqam" from Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana , Chaska from Badmaash Company (and Soniyo from Raaz - The Mystery Continues
