Apple Lay offs: The era of retrenchment is underway in the world's largest technology companies. Many tech companies have been firing employees since the beginning of the year. Apple has recently fired more than 600 people, marking a significant round of layoffs following the pandemic. According to Bloomberg, the company disclosed the information in its filing with the California Employment Development Department.
According to documents filed under the state's Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN, the employees were laid off from eight Santa Clara offices. The news has resulted in a decrease in Apple's share of the US market. Currently, many mobile and gadget companies are entering the EV market. Apple previously announced a similar project, but if reports are to be believed, the iPhone maker is planning to withdraw from the car project.
