Maharashtra Bhushan Award conferred to legendry Singer Asha Bhosale, Lata Mangeshkar congratulates her while she celebrates with granddaughter

Singer Asha Bhosle is going to be honoured by Maharashtra Government with Maharashtra's highest award ‘Maharashtra Bhushan Award’. Asha Bhosle has expressed her happiness on social media and thanked the government for the special honour.

She took on Twitter and wrote, “My heartfelt gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for conferring upon me the highest level of honour the state can award to an individual - the Maharashtra Bhushan Award. Eternally grateful Folded hands. Jai Hind. Jai Maharashtra.”

 

Earlier, the Maharashtra government has announced on Thursday that it is going to give the Maharashtra Bhushan Award to legendary singer Asha Bhosle, which is the highest honour of the state government.

 Asha Bhosle celebrates with granddaughter Zanai

After the announcement of the Maharashtra Bhushan Award by the Maharashtra Government conferred to veteran singer Asha Bhosle, she celebrated the news with granddaughter Zanai Bhosle and expressed her gratitude to the Maharashtra Government.

Asha took on Twitter and posted a video with the granddaughter and wrote her words of gratitude. She wrote, “Just got the news of being bestowed the Maharashtra State highest honour to a civilian - Maharashtra Bhushan Puraskar. And no better people to enjoy it with than with your own. @ZanaiBhosle Thank you all for your love and blessings. Jai Maharashtra Folded hands Jai Hind Flag of India.”

 

Lata Mangeshkar expressed happiness

Asha Bhosle's elder sister and singer Lata Mangeshkar expressed happiness on the occasion and congratulated her for the same.  Lata Mangeshkar wrote on twitter- “नमस्कार. माझी बहिण आशा भोसले हीला  २०२० सालचा अत्यंत मानाचा “महाराष्ट्र भूषण “ पुरस्कार जाहीर झाला आहे त्याबद्दल मी आशाचे मन:पूर्वक अभिनंदन करते आणि तिला आशिर्वाद देते.”

 

Headed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, the committee has decided to give this award to Asha Bhosle for the year 2020. This award has been given since 1996. Asha Bhosle was born on 8 September 1933 in Sangli district.

Asha Bhosle is the daughter of Marathi singer and actor Dinanath Mangeshkar. She went on to sing in a Marathi film for the first time in 1944. Later she sang songs in many languages and was awarded many awards. She has also received the National Award twice. Apart from this, she has won the Filmfare Award 8 times and has also been awarded the LifeTime Achievement Award in 2001.
