Not only common people, but many celebrities have fallen into the death trap of cancer, and many well-known lost their lives while battling this disease. Talking about the Bollywood industry, celebs including Irrfan Khan, veteran actors Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, and Nargis Dutt passed away while suffering from cancer. However, many celebs fearlessly fought the disease and not only survived cancer but also made a bold comeback in the industry.

Manisha has recently become a hot topic amongst fans as the actress is all set to make her grand comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, and we can’t get over her role as “ the majestic Mallikajaan” portrayed gracefully and beautifully by the actress. Talking about her journey, Manisha Koirala was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer in 2012. She traveled halfway around the world to the United States and opted for treatment in a New York hospital. After receiving the treatment for a year, she remained in remission for more than six years. One of the renowned actresses of the 90s, Mahima Chaudhry is known for her iconic roles in movies like ‘Pardes,’ ‘Dil Kya Kare’, and ‘Dil Hai Tumhara’. However, the actress recently opened up about her breast cancer surviving journey back in 2022. During one of the interviews, Mahima Chaudhry said, “I looked miserable with all that hair loss, energy and life draining out of my body on a daily basis, I looked wretched and sickly. My doctors gave me hope that being in an early stage, I’d recover and that I was not terminally sick. But my daughter couldn’t fathom that because she saw me as being very sick and dreaded losing me forever. It was heart-wrenching to see the fear of a parent’s looming death in this child’s eyes; it rattled me.” The actress is now ready to conquer big screens once again with her upcoming movie ‘The Signature’ which also stars Anupam Kher.
After working in movies like ‘Hum Saath Saath Hai’, ‘Sarfarosh’, and ‘Diljale’ among others, Sonali Bendre has been considered one of the most beautiful actresses of the 90s. In 2018, the actress was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and given a 30% chance of survival. Kirron Kher, a veteran actor-politician who appeared in films such as ‘Devdas’ and ‘Dostana’, was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer, in 2021. Despite the worsening effects of cancer, she never gave up working. She stated that she continued to work while being treated in the hospital. The actress is still seen judging reality shows including ‘India’s Got Talent’, and actively shows participation in the political field as well.
Lisa Ray, an Indian-Canadian actress, has been diagnosed with a rare and fatal blood cancer called multiple myeloma. She underwent a stem cell transplant following four months of chemotherapy.
