Muharram Accident: Chaos Emerged During Muharram Procession in Ujjain, Police Files Case

Muharram Accident: There was a commotion during the Moharram procession in the district. Near the city’s Khajur Wali Mosque, members of the Muslim community broke through police barricades and began riding the Moharram horse on the prohibited route. The police took rapid action and lathi-charged. The police have filed a charge against the Moharram procession organizer, Irfan Khan alias Lalla, and his 15 companions.

Like every year, a Moharram parade was held in Ujjain. Three days before the march, top police officials, Moharram procession organisers, and senior Muslim community members met. The route of the Moharram procession was decided with the approval of top members of the Muslim community.
