Meet Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, Leading Operation Sindoor Media Brief

Operation Sindoor:  India launched a retaliatory attack, ‘Operation Sindoor’, in response to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 26 people, including one foreign national. Leading the media brief following the Operation Sindoor were Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, who became the first Indian women to lead a media briefing of such a scale. 

Hailing from Gujarat Colonel Qureshi comes from a military family and is a post graduate in Biochemistry whereas Wing Commander Singh is the first woman in her family to join  the army.
