Oscars 2023: Naatu Naatu wins Best Original Song category; India celebrates the ‘proud moment’ on twitter

Today is a fantastic day to feel boasted worldwide, as this year’s Oscar has turned into a celebration for Indians. Yes, our very own popular song ‘Naatu Naatu’ has created history once again by winning the Oscars in the Best Song Category. It is the first time that India has won Oscars in this category.

Naatu Naatu beats Lady Gaga & RiRi

After competing against songs such as “Applause” from “Tell It Like a Woman”, “Hold My Hand” from “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Lift Me Up” from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, and “This Is a Life” from “Everything Everywhere All at Once”, “Naatu Naatu” made history, outperforming artists such as Lady Gaga, Diane Warren, and Rihanna.

This victory surely demonstrates the Indian film industry’s expanding importance and acceptance on the world stage.
