Pahalgam Terror Attack: Sri Lankan Airlines, Air Force Conduct Joint Operation For Terrorist Suspects

Pahalgam Terror Attack:  Following the Pahalgam terror attack, a large search operation is underway to discover the terrorists and their associates. After getting information from India, six suspects flew from Chennai to Sri Lanka. According to a report, Sri Lankan Airlines started a large search operation as flight UL122 arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport.  A police spokesperson stated that Indian authorities had informed Sri Lanka that six suspects from Pahalgam were on board the jet.

Sri Lankan Police Gives Information

According to local accounts, a search operation was conducted jointly by Sri Lankan police, the Sri Lankan Air Force, and airport security forces. However, no suspects were found. The airline stated that it received an alert from the Chennai Area Control Center. Sri Lankan Airlines stated that the plane was thoroughly scrutinized upon arrival in Colombo and then cleared to fly.
