Paralympic Sports: Paralympic athletes who do great in sports despite their disabilities, their injury risk is higher in comparison to Olympic athletes. But with this, their risk of injury also increases. Research has shown that Paralympic athletes have a higher risk of injuries and illness in comparison to Olympic athletes. 

Paralympic Sports Injuries 

Paralympic sports research has revealed that in some specific sports like wheelchair racing or para-swimming, the risk of injuries is even higher, as these sports have repetitive motion that put constant pressure on muscles and joints. When the body does not get proper rest and recovery time, the risk of injuries increases. Dr Cheri Blauwet, a paralympic wheel chair racer and researcher, says that injuries are a common challenge for athletes but proper training and support can prevent it.
