Punit Chandhok has left his position as President of Commercial Business for Amazon Web Services (AWS) India and South Asia. His departure will be effective as of August 31, 2023. This has also been confirmed by AWS India. Vaishali Kasture, on the other hand, will assume control of this duty following Puneet's departure.

Who will be the new Head?

In June 2019, Chandok assumed leadership of Amazon Web Services. According to the American online store, Vaishali Kasture, who is now AWS India and South Asia's head of enterprise for mid-market and global organisations, would temporarily run the unit's commercial division.

New Investment in India

Significantly, the cloud giant has recently decided to invest more than $ 12 billion (Rs 987 billion) in India by 2030. By 2030, this investment is projected to add $23.3 billion (or Rs 1,94,700 crore) to India's overall gross domestic product (GDP). According to the corporation, enterprises in India will be able to support an average of 1,31,700 full-time equivalent employment annually as a result of the planned investments in data centre infrastructure. In Hyderabad last year, AWS made the official announcement of the opening of its second infrastructure area in the nation.
