Rakshabandhan 2025: The festival of Rakshabandhan is a celebration of the sacred bond between brothers and sisters. According to the Vedic calendar, Rakhi is celebrated on Shravan Purnima annually. This year, Shravan Purnima will start from 2:12 PM on 8th August and conclude at 1:24 PM on 9th August. Therefore, Rakhi will be observed on 9th August.
The auspicious time (Shubh Muhurat) for tying Rakhi on August 9th is from 5:47 AM to 1:24 PM.
Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi and worshiped on the occasion of Rakhshabandhan with a ghee lamp, chanting mantras, and fruit and sweet offerings.
