Ramayana Teaser Out:  Putting a stop to the high anticipation of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, the teaser for the epic mythological saga releases on Thursday, leaving the fans in awe and frenzy. In the three-minute trailer, with stunning visual graphics establishing the backdrop of the battle of Rama and Ravana, called the “war to end all wars”, the makers have teased the audience with the first brief glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana. 

First Look of Ramayana 

Helmed by Nitish Tiwari, Ramayana is hailed as his magnum opus project, with a pan-Indian audience waiting eagerly to witness some of the biggest names of Bollywood and the South Indian film industry on screen in the iconic roles of the gods from Hindu scriptures. 

Opening to the cosmic visuals of the holy trinity in the Hindu religion, Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, the teaser introduces the historical significance of Ramayana, where the hubris of Ravana results in a war to establish the order of the world. 

In the ending visuals of the teaser, we see a short glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor in the shape of the calm and composed Rama versus the South superstar, Yash as the arrogant and power-hungry Ravana, almost an alter ego of one another. 

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is promoted as “Our Truth. Our History,” underscoring the test of time the mythological epic has stood. 

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Cast 

Written by Namit Tiwari and Shridhar Raghavan, Ramayana boasts of a stellar cast starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi in the role of Mata Sita, Yash as the demon king Ravana, Ravie Dubey as the devoted brother Laxman, Sunny Deol reprises the role of the loyal devotee Hanuman, with reports of Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha, Vivek Oberoi will portray Vidyutjihva, Surpanakha’s husband, Kajal Aggarwal in the role of Mandodri, and Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi. 

Ramayana Part 1 Release Date

Yash is also in the chair of the producer of the film made on a budget of Rs 835 crore. Ramayana is slated to be released in theaters in two parts, with the first part scheduled for a Diwali release in 2026.
