Indian Disabled Women:  Disability has been associated with limitations, negativity, and as a social burden in many parts of the world, and in a country like India where one gender is more marginalized than another, the intersection of disability and gender inequality for disabled women in the country results in double marginalization.

Being disabled and a woman in India 

Through the experiences of prominent disabled women in the country, HerZindagi explores the multiple struggles and the individual victories among all adversities of disabled women ranging from scholastic researchers Kavya Mukhijato Olympic winner Deepa Malik. With inaccessible public paces and societal spaces, these women are winning in their everyday life by defying norms and societal stigma.
