Even with this growth, there is still a 65–80 lakh tonne yearly urea shortfall, requiring imports from other nations. By adding nanourea, an important breakthrough towards overcoming this shortfall and attaining sustainability has been made. The project seeks to manufacture a significant quantity of nanourea in the two to three years that follow, ultimately removing the requirement for imports.
