Sambal Violence Update

During this police operation, Sambhal’s CO, Anuj Chaudhary, stated that a large police force has been deployed in the surrounding area to maintain order. The Mughal-era Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal has sparked a big controversy when a petition claimed it was the location of an old Hindu temple. On November 24, last year, citizens opposed the court order for a survey, which turned into a ruckus, creating a tense situation in the city.
