Sandeep Reddy Vanga Confirms Tripti Dimri As Female Lead In ‘Spirit’; Slams Deepika Padukone For ‘Dirty Politics’

Spirit Film Cast:  Sandeep Reddy Vanga officially signed Tripti Dimri as his official lead opposite Prabhas in his next film ‘Spirit’. Sharing the news on his social media handle, Vanga put a pause on all the rumors about the film cast, and ended the ongoing buzz about Deepika Padukone’s walkout from the role.

Triptii Dimri shared a poster of the title of the film in multiple languages with the caption, “Still sinking in…. 😍So grateful to be trusted with this journey🙏🏻Thank you @sandeepreddy.vanga ..honoured to be a part of your vision 😃”

This marks a second project of Dimri with Vanga after Animal, a film which catapulted her into the heights of her popularity and recognition in Bollywood. The two promise to deliver a hard-hitting collaboration yet again as evident from their previous film. She has charged a fee of Rs. 4 crore for the role.  

Vanga Slams Deepika Padukone 

Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone was rumored to be the leading lady in the Prabhas directorial but the speculations suggested that Padukone walked out of the least cast because of a disagreement on remuneration and working charges.

Deepika Padukone reportedly charges a sum of Rs. 20 crore for her role in the film as well as shorter working hours owing to her new motherhood and a baby at home to care for.  

Her demands did not align with the work values and ethics of Vanga leading to Padukone exiting the film. 

In a recent twitter post, Vanga slammed an actor for ‘dirty politics’ for disclosing the narrative of the film and putting down a younger actor. Many believe that post was directed to Padukone.

According to media reports, Dimri is set to take up the role of a doctor whereas Prabhas will be a law protecting cop.
