Sawan Shivratri Date: Delhi-NCR, UP Schools Announce Shivartri Holiday to Manage Traffic and Kanwar Yatra

Sawan Shivratri Date: The Sawan Shivratri will be celebrated tomorrow, July 23rd. This year, Sawan began on July 11th and will last until August 9th. Monday and Shivratri hold special significance in Sawan. Many schools in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have declared holidays on this day due to the risk of traffic disruption caused by crowds at temples and the Kanwar Yatra.

Schools and colleges in many North Indian states will be closed on July 23 to manage the large crowds and traffic during the Kanwar Yatra and Shivratri. Many districts, including Ujjain, Badaun, Meerut, and Muzaffarnagar, will close their schools for Shivratri. Several schools have already informed parents about the holiday. On Shivratri, most schools in Delhi, Noida, and Ghaziabad will be closed on July 23.
