Share Market Today: Nifty, Sensex Open Strong, Banking, Tata Steel See Positive Growth

Stock Market News Today: The stock market rebounded significantly today, with key indices opening on a positive note. The Nifty began the session at 25,160, up 69 points, while the Sensex opened at 82,439, up 239 points. Bank Nifty also showed strength, opening at 57,140 and rising 187 points. Despite this, sectors such as auto, FMCG, and IT experienced large losses, while the remaining indices traded in the green. Trent (1.13%), Tata Steel (0.52%), and ICICI Bank (0.40%) were among the top gainers, while Kotak Mahindra (-0.71%), Bharti Airtel (-0.48%), and Bajaj Finserv (-0.54%) were the biggest losers. Today’s stocks to watch are PNB Housing, Oberoi Realty, Bajaj Finance, and Ultratech Cement. PNB Housing outperformed expectations, Havells performed well in its wires and cables division, while Oberoi Realty underperformed.

Share Market Trend

Shares of Paytm, Dixon Technologies, KEI Industries, MGL, and IRFC are being closely watched in the F&O division as eight companies report their results. Titan has agreed to acquire a 67% ownership in Dubai-based jewellery manufacturer Damas LLC, with an enterprise value of Rs 2,440 Cr. The transaction is expected to be completed by January 2026. Silver reached a record high of Rs 1,15,136, while gold closed at Rs 99,350. In the global market, gold rose by $50 to $3,400, a five-week high, while silver gained 2%, crossing the $39 level. Meanwhile, the India-US trade agreement has been postponed, with the sixth round of negotiations scheduled to take place in India in August. Digital trade and agricultural imports are two contentious problems that have yet to be resolved. Although the market began on a strong note, future developments will determine the direction of the trading session.
