Sister Midnight OTT Release: Radhika Apte’s BAFTA-Nominated Film To Stream Here

Sister Midnight on OTT:  Radhika Apte-led ‘Sister Midnight’ is set to stream on a digital platform. The film has been hailed as a poignant feminist revenge tale for its raw and poignant portrayal of the nuances of womanhood. 

When and Where To Stream Sister Midnight 

BAFTA-nominated, Sister Midnight premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the Directors' Fortnight section, winning a standing ovation from the audience. 

Film’s production house, Altitude Film, shared the news of Sister Midnight’s OTT release on their Instagram handle with the caption, “Very sharp. Very funny. Very surprising.” - Mark Kermode, BAFTA-nominated SISTER MIDNIGHT is available to buy or rent on digital now!”

The film was released in India on 30th May in selected theaters after facing the fire of the censor board. Several scenes from the film, including nudity, were chopped off before the theatrical release, but the uncut version of the film is now available on Tubi. 

Furthermore, Sister Midnight is currently not available to stream on Amazon Prime Video India; however, the film will be released on the platform. The official release date of the film is yet to be undisclosed.   

Sister Midnight Cast 

Spearheaded by Radhika Apte, the film's star cast includes Ashok Pathak, Chhaya Kadam, Samita Tambe, and Shubash Chandra. The film received a £1.03 million production grant from the British Film Institute. The film is produced by Wellington Films, Radhika, Suitable Pictures, Alan McAlex, and Film4.

A dark comedy film from a feminist lens, Sister Midnight, is a film about a young bride named Uma, who has recently moved to Mumbai with her husband. The arranged marriage of Uma sets in motion her life of restlessness and frustration, where the spineless husband leaves her bored and restricted.
