A SpiceJet flight going from the national capital Delhi to Nashik had to return to Delhi on Thursday morning due to a technical glitch. Actually, during the flight, there was a problem in the autopilot system, after which the plane safely landed in Delhi. Aviation regulator DGCA has given information in this regard.
SpiceJet B737 flight SG 8363 took off from Delhi to Nashik at 6:54 am. SpiceJet has been involved in several such incidents in the past, following which the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a show-cause notice to the airline. This time also there has been a lot of negligence. The failure of the auto pilot system in mid-air could have caused a major accident.
At the same time, a DGCA official said that an 'autopilot' glitch was observed in the SpiceJet B737, after which the flight made an emergency landing at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. He said the Boeing 737 plane landed safely.
This is not the first case, even before this, there are reports of frequent malfunctions in the planes of all airlines from SpiceJet to GoAir, Indigo. However, the DGCA has sought a response due to the maximum number of defects in SpiceJet aircraft.
Earlier in July, Aviation Watchdog had said that SpiceJet has failed to provide safe, efficient and reliable air services. He had said that in such a situation why action should not be taken against him. It later ordered the airline to operate a maximum of 50 per cent of its flights.
