Stree 2 Release Date: Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor begin shooting for horror comedy film, share first look

Stree 2 First Look:  Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao received much praise for their 2018 horror comedy ‘Stree’, and fans loved their chemistry and the storyline. Earlier in 2023, it was reported that the film will have a sequel and the shooting will begin soon. Confirming the same, the actors have shared that the shooting has begun for ‘Stree 2’.

Taking to her Instagram, Shraddha shared the news with a 10 seconds promo video with caption, “Ek baar phir चंदेरी में फैला aatank! स्त्री २ filming begins!” By looking at the first look of the movie, this time, the ‘Stree’ is expected to be the protector. While the 2018 film had the tagline “O Stree Kal Aana,” the teaser took us to the quiet and dark streets of Chanderi, with a message on the wall, “O Stree Raksha Karna.” It seems that the sequel has a more interesting storyline, in which the antagonist will be the protector of the village.

Stree 2 Release Date

Shraddha Kapoor made a cameo in Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s ‘Bhediya’ movie in the song “Thumkeshwari,” and Stree 2 was announced in a post-credit scene of the film. The movie is anticipated to release in August 2024, with apparently the same cast as in ‘Stree’. Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan Maddock Films will collaboratively produce the movie. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the cast, which includes Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee, will reunite for the film. The sequel promises a breathtaking and nail-biting experience for the fans.
